He served as an Associate Professor of Law teaching Torts, Evidence and Professional Responsibility at Vanderbilt University School of Law (1983-1988).
Eddie Schmidt graduated from Vanderbilt University and L.S.U. Law Center. He worked with the legendary trial lawyer Gerry Spence and Eddie now teaches as a member of the teaching faculty at the Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer College in Wyoming. Mr. Schmidt also served as General Counsel for the Louisiana Department of Agriculture, as a trial attorney for the Jefferson Parish Louisiana Indigent Defender's Office and as a Cooperating attorney for the ACLU in Louisiana & Tennessee.
